Folly Lane ARLFC 24-12 Bramley Buffaloes — Match Report

A Statement Performance

Folly Lane ARLFC put in one of their best performances of the season on Saturday, running out 24-12 winners against Bramley Buffaloes at Folly Lane Ground in front of a fantastic home crowd.

The home side started brightly, with two early tries in the opening 20 minutes setting the tone for the afternoon. The forwards were outstanding throughout, dominating the ruck and giving the halves plenty of time and space to operate.

Key Moments

The pick of the tries came just before half-time, with a sweeping move from inside the Folly Lane half resulting in a clinical finish in the corner. The conversion was slotted confidently to send the teams in at the break with a 16-6 lead.

Bramley came out fighting in the second half and pulled a try back to set up a nervy finish, but Folly Lane held firm and added a further score late on to seal the points.

Post-Match Reaction

Speaking after the game, head coach said: "The lads were brilliant today. We worked hard all week on our defence and it showed. Really proud of the effort from everyone."

Next up for Folly Lane is an away trip to Siddal ARLFC next Sunday. All supporters are welcome to travel — details on the fixtures page.
